课程简介
This unit introduces the history, principles, and processes of test development. It covers concepts of test reliability and validity and some quantitative methods used to determine psychometric properties of tests. The unit involves a practical focus on the role of psychological testing in various settings including clinical practices, educational settings, and corporate organisations. Throughout the unit, you will learn about the theoretical and conceptual basis of quantitative methods in psychological science, and you will apply these principles to further your understanding of psychological testing and assessment.

- ULO1 Explain the theoretical and conceptual basis of quantitative methods in psychological sciences, and apply these principles to psychological testing and assessment.

Lectures: 2 hours per week online
Tutorials: 10 x 2 hour tutorials throughout the semester, including
Orientation tutorial: 1 hour in Week 1 of semester
Preparation: 8 hours background reading/preparation for lectures, tutorials, and assessment tasks per week.
Attendance at tutorials is recommended in order to successfully complete in-class activities and related assessment tasks.
