课程简介
In this unit, you will explore how food and nutrition policies influence public health, with a focus on Malaysia’s national nutrition strategies. You will analyse policies addressing key issues such as malnutrition, obesity, and food security, while also evaluating global approaches to nutrition governance.
Throughout the unit, you will engage in case studies, policy analysis, and discussions, enabling you to develop evidence-based policy recommendations that consider economic, cultural, and environmental factors. By applying critical thinking and research skills, you will learn to propose innovative solutions to nutrition-related challenges.
By the end of the course, you will be equipped with the analytical, policy evaluation, and communication skills needed to contribute to nutrition policy development and advocacy. This course will prepare you for a future in public health, policy analysis, and food system management in Malaysia and beyond.

18 hours of teacher-directed study per week, including 6 hours of lectures, 3 hours of tutorials, 6 hours of Workshops and 3 hours of Seminar.
